Transfer from Kampala/Entebbe to Lake Mburo National Park (Travel Time 4 hrs)
You will be picked by our professional driver from the hotel or your area of stay in Kampala or Entebbe at 8am and begin your Uganda safari, after about 72km of drive, you will make a stopover at the Uganda equator at Kayabwe to explore the experiment which show how the world splits into the northern and the southern hemispheres (North pole and south pole), the Uganda equator is also a paradise for photographers. Then after, continue to Lake Mburo national park arriving at the lodge in time for lunch. After a relaxed lunch, you will have a breathtaking boat cruise along Lake Mburo to enjoy the soothing climate and splendid scenery of the lake which stretches up to the neighboring country Tanzania. You will also enjoy the views on numerous hippos and aquatic birds which will enhance your experience. After the two hours boat cruise, you will then return to the lodge with an enroute game drive to your lodge for a leisurely evening, dinner and overnight.
Transfer from Lake Mburo to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
After morning breakfast, you will head into the wild to undertake a rewarding game drive in search of animals such as buffaloes, giraffes, impalas, eland, Uganda Kobs and so much more wild game. The park is also a paradise for visitors who are interested in Uganda birding. What also makes Lake Mburo national park special of all the national park in Uganda is that, it is the only national park where visitors can undertake a game walk (watching animals on foot). Visitors are escorted by armed game rangers into the wild and this activity and very interesting as it gives the firsthand adventure experience on a Uganda safari. After the game walk /game drive you will transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable forest National Park for the most rewarding Africa adventure experience of exploring gorillas in Uganda on the following day. Uganda Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
In the morning after breakfast, you will gather at the park headquarters for a briefing by the national park officers before you embark on the Uganda gorilla trekking activity. Then you will be escorted by the armed game rangers in to the thick forest using the already established tracking trails in the forest. However in most cases, these trails disappear and this makes the forest hard to penetrate but you don’t have to worry as these rangers sometimes escort visitors with pangas to create way for you into the might Uganda gorillas. Gorilla trekking is quite challenging as it involves negotiating path into the thick, rough, slippery and usually wet forest. But this shouldn’t scare you away because as you are looking for the mountain gorillas, other features are entertaining you like the rush vegetation, various species of butterflies which decorate the forest and the sweet melodies of birds which sing from different sides of the forest in a very entertaining way to enhance your experience. Upon sight of the gorillas, then all the trekking fatigue ends there, gorillas have solitary and the roles are distributed according to age. The Silverback (Mature male gorilla) also called the family head may chose to welcome you with is scaring red eyes by beating in its chest as a sign of manhood in the family, the toddlers will showcase their games to you as they come closer to you and run to their mothers, the photography you take with these gorillas themselves give you a memorable experience. The entire gorilla trekking experience in Uganda lasts between 2-8 hours but the actual interaction lasts for 1hour starting from the time you sight these mountain gorillas and you are also requested to respect the 7meter rule which requires you not to come very closer to these endangered creatures. Return from Bwindi impenetrable forest National Park to Kampala/Entebbe
You will wake up in the morning for a leisurely breakfast and a photography moment at your lodge before embarking on the journey back to Kampala/ Entebbe international airport. Enjoy sightseeing enroute especially the banana plantation and animal farms of western Uganda, you may use the Kasese/Fort portal route which takes you through queen Elizabeth national park for an enroute game drive where you may luckily spot some wildlife like elephants, buffaloes, antelopes and even lions on a lucky day and you will also enjoy the spectacular views of the great Rwenzori mountains-dubbed the mountains of the moon. Then you will make a stopover at the Uganda Equator in Kasese district and another stop in Fort portal town for lunch. Continue to Kampala arriving in the afternoon for an evening flight at Entebbe airport.
