Kigali City Tour –Parc Volcanoes Rwanda
After breakfast take on a city tour that will also take you around the genocide sites. Lunch break then drive north to Kinigi via Ruhengeri. Gorilla Trekking Parc Volcanoes (Volcanoes National Park)
You will first gather at the park headquarters for a briefing before you embark on the track for gorillas. You will be allowed one hour of direct interaction with mountain Gorillas, this limited time is for conservation purposes but the real trekking time can go up to 8hours until you see them. You are likely to experience the views of adults feeding, grooming and resting as youngsters frolic and swing from vines in a delightfully playful display. After breakfast transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Ishaka. Make a stop over to the wilderness Ishasha sector inside the bush in search of rare African climbing lions and other game before proceeding to Queen, arriving late afternoon. Queen Elizabeth National Park
Begin your day with a cup of coffee before you set off for the game drive starting at 7am along Kasenyi and Queens Mile in search for elephants, buffalo, lions, water bucks, warthogs, Uganda Kobs lakes and various species of birds. Return to the lodge for breakfast and lunch. After lunch, embark on a two hour boat trip starting at 2pm along the famous Kazinga channel is worthwhile an opportunity to see Hippo, Buffalo, Kobs, Elephants, warthogs etc. This trip also enables visitor chance to see spectacular birds. Return to the lodge through the channel tunnel with a short game drive. Transfer from Queen Elizabeth National Park to Kibale National Park.
With previous day’s memories enjoys your breakfast ready for guided primate walk along Kyambura Gorge to look for habituated chimps through the gorge. Chimpanzee Trekking & Bigodi Walk Kibale National Park
Gather at Kanyanchu Tourist Centre after morning breakfast for a briefing where tourist activities begin and start your track for chimpanzees in the forest. You have 90% chances of viewing the chimps. Kibale National Park is a prime area of primates in Africa with over 13 primates species and perhaps the most beautiful and stunning forest in Uganda. The park inhabits the endangered Chimpanzees- our closest living relatives, threatened Red colobus monkey and the rare L’Hoest’s monkey, Black and white colobus, Blue monkey, Grey-cheeked mangabey, Red tailed monkey and Bush babies and Pottos.
You will also visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary in the after lunch, and take on a guided walk around the Swamp to search for a wide range of flora and fauna. The swamp is also home to a variety of butterflies, birds and other insects. Have a tour of the crater region around Ndali lodge. Kibale National Park to Murchison Falls National Park
After a cup of coffee, ready for a drive to Murchison falls National Park, through large farms and large plantations and country side villages. Lunch break in Hoima, continue with a drive to Murchison as you enjoy the scenery of the green vegetation of the rift. Arrive in Murchison and later cross the ferry to the Northern side for overnight and dinner at Parra Safari Lodge (Lodge facility) or Red Chili Hideaway (Budget facility). Murchison Falls National Park
Begin the day with a cup of African Coffee ready for an early morning game drive. Your guide will help you spot Elephant, Lion, Cape buffalo, Rothschild’s giraffe, hartebeest, Waterbuck, Oribi, Bushbuck, Bohor reedbuck, hyena and if you are lucky, the leopard. Return to the hotel for breakfast and lunch. In the afternoon you make a boat trip towards the Murchison Falls. Carefully watched by crocodiles, hundreds of hippos, buffaloes, water birds, apes and all the other thirsty wildlife that the Nile attracts you go to the bottom of the 43 meters high and famous Murchison Falls, which approaches you with a thunderous sound. There you leave the boat and start your – quite heavy – hike to the Top of the Falls (approx. 1 hour). See where the world’s longest river explodes violently through a narrow cleft in the Rift Valley escarpment to plunge into a frothing pool 43m below. Your driver/guide will be waiting for you to bring you back to the lodge. This is also a zone of many bird species like Goliath heron, Egyptian goose, pelican bee-eater, kingfisher, hornbill, cormorant and the rare shoebill stork. Wake up at 6:00am prepared to take a photograph of the African rising sun in the morning and enjoy African breakfast. Cross the ferry for a drive to the spectacularly situated site at the top of the fall where you can see the Nile’s beauty perfected!! Marvel at the Nile, compressing from up to 1 km squeeze through a 7 meter canyon dropping 45 meters with a thunderous roar creating a beautiful rainbow, a plume of spray and the best thing that happened to the Nile…”the Murchison Falls “.
